Signs you're being called to Purpose!

Jeremiah 29:11 declares, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” This scripture is well known in the Christian community because of it reminds us of God's promises for His people, especially in the midst of suffering and hardship. During a time of exile, Jeremiah provided hope to the people.

God's word still stands. No matter what you may go through in life, God has a plan for His people. That plan is for His Kingdom on earth and each of us as individuals share and contribute our gifts, attributes, and talents to His Purposes.

You may wonder what purpose you bring. You may also wonder if you have a purpose at all. Of course you do. You are a child of the Kingdom. I personally believe there is a time in your life when your Purpose starts to really knock on your door with expectation to pick up your torch.

Here are some signs that your purpose is seeking you out and you need to answer the call:

  • You're oblivious with no real reason of what you're doing outside of having money. It's hard to see things clearly in regards to pursuing your dreams and passions. Life gets in the way of Living. With my job I feel hypnotized like i go through a metamorphosis and I'm outside of who I really am. Feel phony as if I Become someone else to get through it. I'm expected to buy into the culture. Then when I take a few days off I slowly come back to myself like a shell is softening off of me.

  • Even if you're making a lot of money you're spirit won't be satisfied. And if you didn't need the money you would walk away right now.

  • You're life seems satisfactory but there's something still smothering your happiness.

  • You find yourself interested in doing other things in the midst of your job. You can't totally focus on what you're supposed to be doing. You're just going through the motions.

  • What you're doing doesn't bring you joy or uplift your spirit. It doesn't create a healthy atmosphere to grow or infuse spiritual satisfaction.

  • You feel sick or extra stressed the day before. It's a sign of your spirit resisting the path you've chosen.

  • You find yourself angry without no real reason and taking things out on others. You're angry because you feel stuck in it with no way out.

  • Avoidance. You search out ways to get out of it every chance you have.

  • By the end of the day you've worked hard but the work doesn't have any real value.

  • In your job, you don't want to be or ever see yourself in your bosses shoes.

If you feel any of these, it's time to seek out God and ask Him for the Vision of Your Life. Go in prayer with a journal and ask Him to reveal His plan and purpose for you; for His Kingdom. Don't worry about how it will happen. Pray and know it will happen because God is the one who organizes. You just need to believe, trust Him, and walk out the plan. He will provide the right people, information, and resources to put you where you need to be. Let the Lord be your guide.
